The monsoon season has arrived and we are sure your taste buds become extremely active. While the monsoon season gives you a relief from scorching heat, it also brings a series of viruses and infections. Hence it is important to arm you and your family against harmful infection. It is very important to take a healthy and balanced diet to keep yourself healthy. A balanced diet that includes seasonal foods is not only nutritious but also keeps the ecosystem and biodiversity in mind. The United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organisation calls this type of ethical and nutritious food pattern a sustainable diet, and ancient Ayurvedic texts — according to a study in the AYU Journal in 2011 — call it ritucharya or diet and behavior according to seasons.

According to expert Nutritionist Dr. Simran Saini, "Monsoons may be good, but they bring along a lot of infections. For example, green leafy vegetables are a no-no in this season considering they have excess bacteria during this period and can make you prone to various health hazards.
